Digital Knitting with Kniterate

We offer an immersive workshop where you'll learn everything you need to know about the Kniterate machine and its design app.

From setup to stitching, our comprehensive course covers it all. You'll delve into essential theory, but the main focus of our time is dedicated to hands-on practice with the design app, operating the machine, and crafting your very own samples.

Conducted by: Textile Prototyping Lab

Thread by thread, participants will understand the relationship between warp and weft, and how they can create color and texture combinations to create a finalized tapestry piece.

Trainer: Textile artist Gabriela Sacconi

The Open Source HILO E-Spinning Wheel, an electric spinning wheel, is ideal for beginners to start spinning and experimenting with yarn. After an introduction to spinning techniques and materials, participants can get hands-on and develop their yarn experiments to take home. We will have materials available on-site, but participants are also welcome to bring their own materials!

Our tufting workshops give you the chance to create your personal designed piece of art. Within the workshop you will learn everything about the handling of the tufting gun, materials and the process of designing and creating a beautiful piece in a small group.

No previous experience needed.
